Figure 1. This patient had a giant cell tumor of the distal femur. She underwent curettage and cryotherapy of the tumor with preservation of her much of her knee.

Figure 2. This patient had a synovial sarcoma of the knee that inadvertently contaminated his whole joint. Facing an amputation, we were able to save his limb by removing the joint en bloc and reconstructing it with a megaprosthesis.
